Description

I rarely ever show off my original characters mostly because some are based off real people and it’s...it’s so embarrassing >////<

BUT anyways, these are my two strawberry object head characters, Melosa & Brett. I don’t know, they’re just too fun to draw~ ♥

This reminds me of a something from my childhood. When I was in kindergarten, everyone thought I was an artistic genius because my drawings were (according to what I've been told; I honestly have no idea) very advanced for my age.* Then, I began drawing "cherry people," people made entirely of cherries--red circles. I went from being the most advanced to the least advanced in the class. Naturally, my teacher was horrified. So much so that she brought up the issue to my mother who responded with "hey, if drawing circles makes her happy, let her draw circles." So, long story short, I never became an artist, but I learned a valuable lesson about creativity and just doing whatever the heck makes you happy.

That said, this is a very unconventional take on personified fruits. Despite its bizarreness, however, you've still managed to make it charming and "awww" worthy rather than disquieting. Displaying emotion through something that has no facial features must be quite challenging.

*We later figured out that I wasn't actually advanced, rather, I was simply literal minded. You know how you'll tell a kid to draw their family and you'll get something like purple people with squares for hands? Nah. Five year old me wasn't having that shit. If I was gonna draw my mom, then that drawing was going to have five fingers and blond hair. My house wasn't a square and a triangle; I had an entire carport and a chain-link fence to fit into that sucker.
